Ausiellofiles has just revealed that NBC has nenewed SVU for an eleventh season but the catch is Chris and Mariska haven’t yet been secured… Word is the renewal will be announced next week so hopefully we will get some more news regarding the cast then. Keep your fingers crossed!

Mariska co-wrote an article with John Predergast that was just posted at the Huffington Post. It’s about the next episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, entitled “Hell”. It’s focuses on child soldiers in Central Africa and sex slaves. This episode was filmed a few weeks ago, and it includes scenes shot in the United Nations building, making Law & Order: Special Victims Unit the first television show to be filmed inside the building.

Today, Mariska was scheduled to head back to set! According to People, she is set to work on a new episode that will air April 28th with guest-star Hilary Duff.

There’s a rumor going around that was published about a week ago that Mariska was leaving Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. This rumor is FALSE. It was created by a tabloid that cited the National Enquirer and it included a quote from Mariska that was taken out of context. Thankfully one of her reps heard about it and just confirmed that it’s indeed not true. You can read her rep’s response here: TVGuide.com

SVU Season 9 will be coming to DVD May 26. It will be a 5-disc box set and retail at US$59.98 SRP. There is no word on any bonus materials. Once Amazon have updated their page it will be linked in the side bar for those who want to pre-order their copy.

These were the topics posed by the Production Team of SVU today for us to ponder and answer.

Seems there is a lot of chatter about a few things. Let me hit them quick:
1) Mariska is recuperating well and will back with us very soon. I’ll be sure to relay all the kind thoughts and prayers going out to her on this blog.
2) We have great ideas and many storylines in development that will go into what hopes to be a season 11, including ideas for Stabler and Benson.
3) Is Benson gay? What do you think!?

First things first-great to see Mariska is still doing well mending!

Secondly, I’m sure we all noticed they didn’t specifically say there will be a Season 11 but it does seem to be hinted… Time will tell! We should all post in favour of another season!

Thanks to her rep, Mariska is doing well! Her rep said, “Mariska is recovering well and is expected to return to SVU in the next couple of weeks.” Apparently she will miss several weeks of filming, but she will only miss one episode, “Baggage”, in which Ice-T will fill in for her.
