It has been revealed by People Magazine that Mariska’s collapsed lung was actually from doing her own stunt on SVU-not a sledding accidnet which has been widely reported. At her recent appearance at the American Ballet Theatre Spring Gala she told People:

“I’ve been doing my own stunts on the show for 10 years. I fell wrong, basically. I collapsed my lung doing a stunt.”

Mariska is now back to her former health:

“I’m 100 percent. I’m back to my old self.”

Mariska actually said the following in her recent cover of Health Magazine:

For 10 years, we said, “We have to do our own stunts.” We’d have to be badasses. I don’t know what we were trying to prove. And now we’re both like, “No way! Let the stunt double do it!” The fact is, we can get hurt, and we do get hurt.

A hint that we didn’t pick up on? Either way it is great to hear that she is back to her former health.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit has been moved to Wednesdays at 9 PM EST/8 PM Central! And of course, there will be an encore of that week’s episode on Saturdays at 10 PM.

Mariska has attended the NCCS Rays of Hope Gala on May 13th where she was awarded the Lilly Tartikoff/Entertainment Industry Foundation Hope Award for Cancer Philanthropy award. Way to go Mariska! She looks stunning!

Mariska attended the White House Correspondents Association Annual Dinner on May 9 wearing a Carolina Herrera dress. Fans have a mixed opinion on this number as do the staff at this site. I myself don’t like it but Catherine loves it. What do you think of it?

There still isn’t a decision made on Mariska and Chris’s contracts for SVU but they both said some promising words that at the recent 2009 Joyful Heart Gala:

“I hope so,” she told Access Hollywood, when asked if she’ll be returning as the NBC cop drama’s Olivia Benson. “We’re all trying to work it out and I have a lot of faith it’s going to work out.”

Hargitay’s co-star, Christopher Meloni (Elliot Stabler), agreed: “It’s a good vibe on the set,” he said. “We all love each other. We’re still happy with the stories that we’re telling and you know, we’ll see how it works out.”
